“Couples Therapy” is a sexy, provocative dramedy about a couples therapist who treats neurotic New York couples while simultaneously trying to salvage her own failing marriage. As her patients and her husband push her over the edge, tensions get high and boundaries get crossed leading Natalia down a dangerous, self-destructive path.
Grounded, “in-your-face” New York humor mixed with the inevitable drama of dealing with a heartbreak and sprinkled with breathtaking sexual tension among the main characters.
It’s “FLEABAG” meets “SEX AND THE CITY”. A woman in her 30’s trying to free herself emotionally from a husband who is wrong for her, figure out who she is outside her marriage and making one bad decision after another in the process. All while helping neurotic New York couples deal with their own issues such as polyamory, power struggles, gender stereotypes, infidelity, sexual identity and to finally agree on what is the right way to raise their pets.

The idea for "COUPLES THERAPY" came to me at a time when I, like Natalia, was struggling to free myself from a toxic relationship. Dealing with my own heartache, I started writing the story of a complicated woman whose emotions get in the way of her better judgement and finds herself tangled in not only one but two toxic relationships.
Meanwhile, as I researched the subject of relationships, I started realizing that modern couples deal with vastly different issues than they did in the past and that their story is yet to be told. I believe the time has come to dig deep into those issues and introduce new ideas about what relationships can be.
As a writer and actor, I've always been deeply passionate about telling the stories of women who are complicated; women who are smart, strong and driven but at the same time make mistakes and try to heal their wounds in all the wrong ways. I am also passionate about telling the stories of people who are different and giving a voice to the underrepresented. My hope is that "Couples Therapy" will do just that.
